Frequently Asked Questions -Am I eligible? |
| We can only tell you for certain whether or not you are eligible to study for an undergraduate programme when you have completed and returned the application form, the application handling fee (where payable) and all the required documentary evidence. The following information is aimed only at providing a guideline. |
 |
| The University accepts many qualifications from around the world for admission purposes. To register for a degree in London school of Accountancy and Management, you must be at least 18 years old and satisfy the University's general entrance requirements and any necessary course requirements. There are many other acceptable qualifications, both from the United Kingdom and overseas which the University accepts as satisfying the entrance requirements. |
| If you do not meet the general entrance requirements for your chosen qualification, the University has a Special Admissions Panel that will consider your application if you have other acceptable academic qualifications or professional qualifications. If you are over 21, and are therefore considered to be a mature candidate, the University will invariably require evidence of mature-age study. In some subjects you may find that you are invited to study for one of undergraduate diplomas, or, where applicable, for the Access route, where entrance requirements are set lower. A good performance at this level could allow you to be credited for the units you have passed and progress to the degree in that subject. |
|
| Do I need any subject-specific qualifications for my chosen |
| The entrance requirements vary from qualification to qualification. Certain degrees require you to have course-specific qualifications, in addition to the general entrance requirements before you can qualify. |
|
Check under the Entrance Requirements to see if there are any course requirements that must be satisfied. |
| English is not my first language - do I have to sit an exam to prove my ability |
| All students must be competent in English. The University receives applications from all over the world from people with varying abilities and qualifications in English. As such, it reserves the right to ask for proof of proficiency in English when necessary. You may be required to sit an exam to prove your ability. A list of the acceptable tests of proficiency in English that are accepted as being equal to O Level/GCSE grade C is available. |
| How much credit will I get for the work I've already done? |
| The University uses the term 'exemptions'. An exemption means that you are not required to take a particular unit as part of your degree because you have already covered a similar syllabus as part of a previous qualification (maximum 4 units). |
