The Security of computer, data and networks is now a matter of importance to everyone who uses them and requires increasingly sophisticated systems to protect against intrusion.  Computers connected to a network, whether local or wide area, are exposed to many threats against their effective operation and the safety and privacy of the data they hold.  This course aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of the security aspects of computers and computer networks and focuses on prevention through effective policy and proceduresWe offer training on all the best of breed vendor's security systems.

 


In this course, you will build on your knowledge and professional experience with computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you acquire the specific skills required to implement basic security services on any type of computer network.

The lab-intensive environment gives each student in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the current essential security systems. Students will begin by understanding how perimeter defences work and then be led into scanning and attacking their own networks. Students then learn how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can be taken to secure a system. Students will also learn about intrusion detection, policy creation, social engineering, open source intelligence, incident handling, and log interpretation.
