Dr Dak Patel - FCCA FOTHM FFA FInstAM FInstTT FInstCM - Principal
Financial Accounting papers for all level in ACCA & CIMA
Dak Patel Dak Patel has over 20 years of lecturing experience combined with outstanding presentation techniques and a thorough approach to training. He has become well know in the UK and abroad as a professional lecturer of the highest calibre.

He is frequently headhunted by various institutions both here in the UK and overseas and has numerous years of experience in lecturing international clients. He has also lectured at Cambridge University on their MBA and DMS programmes, training members of staff from Essex Police, Fire Brigade and The Lighthouse.

Dak has also carried out consultancy work for leading Banks notably Nat West, Royal Bank of Scotland and State Street in Docklands.

He set up his own Accountancy College in the square mile of London with just 23 students and 10 staff in January 2004; today there are over 5,000 students, with 80 staff employed by the College.

In 2005, he set up a training centre in Krakow, Poland within 6 months of trading and there are currently 400 students with LondonSAM with the majority of them working for  corporate clients namely Shell, IBM, Cap Gemini, HP, Mittal Steels, Fortres Bank and currently negotiating with Tesco.

LondonSAM also has branch offices in India, Pakistan, Nepal, China, Middle East and Africa.

The College has many leading corporate clients studying with LondonSAM in the UK notably Bank of England, London Borough of Barnet, British Museum, Home Office, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Treasury, City of London and the NHS, to name but a few.

Dak has also been listed as a member of the Presidential Who’s Who in Professional and Business Achievers for 2007–2008 and the College has achieved Centre of Excellence from the Organisation for Travel and Tourism.

Dr Dak Patel received the AAA Gold Award, 2008 for Achievement in the Field of Healthcare and Education from the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, the Rt Hon Ed Balls MP.

Tony Surridge FCCA FCMA MIMIS
Tony Surridge has spent many years in the business education industry with particular responsibility for teaching students following academic programmes leading to the qualifying examinations of the ACCA and the CIMA. He has also taught students on tuition programmes for the ICA (England & Wales), the Institute of Marketing, MBA and first degrees. Tony has been involved in his chosen vocation of teaching since 1974 and for two years held an appointment with the Ministry of Defence, which involved lecturing Commonwealth military personnel and civil servants undergoing training for professional qualifications in the accountancy, management and computer fields.

Since 1984, Tony has been a Director of Canterbury School of Management and, for periods both before and after this time, he held positions as Director of Studies of the London School of Accountancy, Director of CIMA Studies of Emile Woolf Colleges and Director of CIMA Studies of Accountancy Tutors. His experience includes the management and organisation of wide-ranging programmes of education and he has acquired considerable skills in 'classroom' and 'distance learning' techniques.

Over the years Tony has visited and taught professional students in several countries including Bahrain, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Mauritius, Poland, Singapore, Trinidad, Uganda and Uzbekistan.

Tony Surridge is a qualified accountant and corporate systems analyst and has a background of accountancy and computers. On passing his own exams, Tony was CIMA world-wide multi-prize and place winner. Prior to becoming involved in education he spent some 15 years working in administration and management systems on a world-wide basis. He held positions of responsibility in North America, Hong Kong, Australia, Bahrain and on the European Continent, as well as in the United Kingdom. Since taking on teaching responsibilities he has undertaken a number of management consultancy assignments from which he has gained further experience of business problems and operations in different parts of the world.
Colin Channer BA FCA
Colin Channer Colin Channer’s specialist subjects are Management and Strategy.

He has vast experience of preparing students for professional taxation examinations gained through his teaching and writing of study material in the private accountancy training sector. Before becoming a member of the teaching team at LondonSAM, Colin was a tutor, partner then director for ATC London (now part of FTC) for 13 years and, following a successful 10 years of freelance teaching, spent 5 years with ATC International (in Eastern and Central Europe) and then 2 years with Emile Woolf Colleges in London prior to its purchase by FTC.
Duke Allotey BA (Hons) ACCA
Duke Allotey Duke has over 5 years’ experience in teaching accountancy in the private and public sectors specialising in Management Accounting and Financial Management at all levels of the ACCA, CIMA and other professional accountancy courses. He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster Business School, the London Metropolitan University Business School and is also a marker for a leading professional accountancy body. His exam-focused approach to teaching has not just made him popular with his students but has also helped thousands of students pass their examinations with ease.
Emmanuel FOMUSO LLB (Hons) PGCE LLM
Emmanuel has been a law lecturer in a number of professional accountancy colleges as well as further and higher education institutions within London for over 10 years. During that period he has been engaged in teaching various aspects of law for students on the ACCA, CIMA, ABE and ICSA professional courses as well as on the LLB and GCE ‘A’ level academic programmes. His thorough explanations of seemingly complex legal material has helped thousands of students get through their academic and professional examinations with excellent results. He is a moderator/examiner on one of the leading examination boards.  Emmanuel

Greggz specialises in PC Assembling, Troubleshooting and Hardware Maintenance.

He currently delivers courses in A+, N+, ECDL, ABE (BIS), PC Assembling, Troubleshooting, Hardware and Software.

Arman Farakish MSc BSc
Arman Farakish Arman graduated as an Engineer from Oxford Brookes before going on to complete an MSc in Applied Physics at Brunel University. After 2 years of working on engineering projects, Arman moved into information technology and worked for 3 years in a number of publishing companies. In 1989, Arman moved into education, and has since been involved in a number of computing projects. He has taught on AAT, CIMA, CAT and ACCA courses as well as the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Course in Computing, Accounting and Management.
Jerry N Persaud ACCA
Jerry has 10 years’ experience of lecturing on professional courses in the areas of Financial Accounting, Auditing and Taxation. He is the brain child, founder and energy for the IFA Centre (ATC) in Guyana/Caribbean, a leading recognised tuition provider of the ACCA.

In 2007 the ACCA recognised the ATC and Jerry‘s contribution towards students and the profession, and presented him with the Learning Partnership Service and Excellence in Teaching Award. Jerry’s lecturing experience is not restricted to London and Guyana but extends as far as Poland.

His unique approach and energetic style of lecturing continues to amaze students, convincing them that passing is easy; his name is now synonymous with passing exams. Jerry started his accounting career with Deloitte & Touche then, after excelling in his ACCA exams, took up a top position in tax administration.

Dr Rajini Chandrashekar MCom MPhil PhD
Dr Rajini possesses a Masters Degree and a Doctorate in Business Studies from Madras University, one of the oldest and most renowned universities in India. She has over 14 years of teaching experience and has taught several graduate and post-graduate papers in Business Studies.

Dr Rajini has also worked with a leading provider of Computer Education in India, teaching Business Management and Statistics to Engineering students. She is an Accountancy and Management specialist and has handled Corporate Financial Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and several management papers at various levels of graduate, post-graduate and management education.
Dr. Rajini Chandrashekar
Prior to joining LondonSAM, Dr Rajini worked with several institutions in India and London as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Business Studies. She is currently LondonSAM’s Head of Graduate Studies responsible for the curriculum for ABE and other graduate courses conducted by the College. She handles ABE Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma, the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and OTHM units.
Salil Gupta BSc FCA
Salil Gupta Salil Gupta is a practising accountant.  With over 28 years of widely varied experience in the field of practical accountancy, Salil has acquired a firm grip on the many aspects of Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing and Taxation. Salil also runs an accountancy and tax practice in partnership. Apart from being an accountancy and tax practitioner, Salil has successfully worked in senior positions of Financial Controller and Auditor in the commercial sector in the past. 

Salil is a thorough, “satisfaction guaranteed” type of teacher and brings a practical touch to accountancy and taxation. Pragmatism is the way of modern life, as is his approach to teaching.
Salil believes that building a solid root foundation in the brains of students is the key to success for both teacher and student. His main areas of specialism are Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing, Taxation, Professional PEPA, Sage Line 50, Sage and Pegasus Payroll.
Dr Aunul Islam
Annul Islam Dr Islam obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Manchester and his Doctorate degree from Imperial College, London where he ranked fifth in the world. He has extensive knowledge in the tertiary education sector and is specialised in Quality Assurance.

He is the Programme Manager for the MBA course at LondonSAM, a degree validated and awarded by the University of Wales. He also acts as a Systems Manager for the course and a module leader in Operations Management. Additionally, he is involved in consultancy for several UK universities.
Waseem Zia Chaudhry
Waseem is a seasoned IT professional with over 8 years’ proven track record of accomplishments that demonstrate excellence in Design & Development of Applications/Infrastructure, Capacity Planning, End-to-end Implementation/Change Management of IT Solutions Operations, and IT Audit and Technical Project/Programme Management. He has also participated in 5 greenfield telecom rollouts. With a results-driven and hands-on attitude, he brings together a broad base of transferable skills gained in a number of different roles covering management, consulting and customer-oriented positions.

His association with the education sector has been long witnessed. He has been involved in professional coaching and lecturing throughout his career as education is his passion. While responsible for lecturing on IT and Project Management areas at LondonSAM, Waseem is actively pursuing his goals as an IT/Project Management Consultant and an IT Auditor.

Kalpesh Sagar
Dr. Guido Barbato M.B.A, Ph.D

I possess a BSc in Computing with Applied Statistics and a Higher National Diploma in Mathematical Sciences.  I am also Prince2 practitioner qualified and have worked on projects for Fossbox and the council as a Microsoft access database expert and help by running workshops, designing and delivering the training.

I have also worked for SunGard treasury systems as a financial treasury consultant and Tesco stores as a retail manager.   Having the diverse background I have used the transferrable skills into pursuing a career in lecturing ICT subjects.   Since November 2009 I have worked at colleges within London providing services as a visiting lecturer and covered subjects on diploma and higher diploma level.   Subjects include; systems analysis and design, information systems project management, computer networking, introduction to operating systems and task management.
Currently apart from increasing experience, it is a pleasure to work with students, developing skills and knowledge of how computers are shaping the world it is and will be.   I am working towards pursuing a PGCE in Post 16 at the institute of education this year.
