Graduate Diploma

The aim of this course is to develop and prepare individuals for higher academic/professional courses. The course enables students to develop the intellectual, practical and social skills considered necessary for career enhancement within the industry. Holders of this award may apply to UK Universities for access to the second/third year of their BA in Tourism Management. A place on a degree course is subject to interview and satisfying the University entrance criteria. Alternatively, students have an option to undertake a two year masters program specialising in Tourism management.

All our courses are industry-recognised, and when you complete a course you will receive an externally-validated Certificate.

Travel & Tourism Management
The Virgin Atlantic courses will teach you about ticketing, fare structures, geography and airline industry rules and regulations. Our class sizes are small (maximum 15 students) and our trainers are very experienced. We have over 10 years’ experience in Fares and Ticketing training. Course times are flexible and our fees are very competitive. You can choose to study full-time or part-time.

Students may study up to four modules per term. Examinations are conducted at the end of each term. Students need to achieve 40 points to be qualified for IATA-approved Travel Agency Operations. The course is designed to provide students with a maximum of 20 points. The VA1 and VA2 is IATA accredited airline fares and ticketing qualification. VA1 and will be worth 10 IATA points and VA2 will be worth 20 IATA points (inclusive of those already achieved on Level 1), giving the 20 points that are prerequisite for employment. The examination will be administered on behalf of virgin and Guild of Business Travel Agents (GBTA) by the course material distributors, Confederation of Tourism, Hotel and Catering Management (CTHCM).

Entry requirements

Entry to the Graduate Diploma is granted to students who have successfully completed the London School Of Accountancy And Management Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management or an equivalent qualification.

Commencement

September, January, April and July of each year.

Duration

1 year (3 terms)

Award

On successful completion of the course candidates will be awarded with the London School Of Accountancy And Management Graduate Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management.
