Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

ACCA's innovative partnership with Oxford Brook University allows ACCA students to study for a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, while taking their ACCA examinations.

Students will be entitled to the degree (awarded by Oxford Brookes University) on completing the first two parts of the new Professional Scheme of examinations, and then submitting a Research and Analysis Project to the university for assessment. The Project examines graduate skills, focusing particularly on the ability of students to carry out research and analysis.
Students currently registered with ACCA will also eligible for registration with Oxford Brookes University for the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting subject to the transition arrangements detailed in the Student Guide.

Oxford Brookes University has degree awarding power, granted by Royal Charter, as with every other UK university. These powers are granted on the basis of Oxford Brookes University having appropriate procedures for assuring the quality and standards of its awards in both design and operation, and being subject to the scrutiny of the QAA, the body responsible to the UK Government's Department for Education and Skills for assuring the quality of UK Higher Education in the public interest.

In November 2000, QAA conducted a subject review of the quality of education in business and management provided by Oxford Brookes University. The quality of the education provided was "approved" and the University scored a maximum 24/24 for its provision (an outcome matched only by one other Business School in the UK).
